The best definition of investment is coined by Graham in 1934 who
defined it as "An investment operation is one which, upon thorough
analysis promises safety of principal and an adequate return. Operations
not meeting these requirements are speculative."
There are additional complexities for Non Resident Indians (NRI) who are
planning to return to India. Many of the investment concepts that are
part of the conventional wisdom for investing in developed countries
like USA need to be tailored to the unique requirements of NRI's
